Lorde is on fire, to say the least.

The new album is now available for pre-order.

"Melodrama" is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to Lorde's multi-platinum debut album "Pure Heroine", which arrived in the fall of 2013.

Well, the wait is over: on Thursday, Lorde took to Twitter to announce that the Melodrama release date is June 16, and that's not all she gave us.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Lorde said the song was inspired by a moment she had listening to Rihanna's "Higher" alone in a cab.
