In a letter addressed to Chandrababu, Chowdary? a five-time MLA and one of the veterans sailing with party since inception in 1982? regretted that honest workers who had been toiling hard for the TDP for years were left in the lurch while "opportunists" who entered the party made hay.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's son and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh Naidu on Sunday took oath as the state's Cabinet Minister. The other TDP members who were given ministerial positions are: Pithani Satyanarayana, Nakka Ananda Babu, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Kalva Srinivasulu and Kothapalli Samuel Jawahar.

The former leader was grilled for almost nine hours in court on Thursday as a judge deliberated whether she should be arrested. Ms Park, 65, arrived at the Seoul Central District Court yesterday morning but ignored questions from the media.

Gopalakrishna Reddy is a friend of Naidu and had earlier served as a minister in his Cabinet in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. The youngest minister in Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet is Allagadda MLA Bhooma Akhil Priya.

'It's a grave insult to the Constitution and also to the state, ' he said.

Rama Subba Reddy, senior TDP leader from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa, strongly opposed the inclusion of Adinarayana Reddy in the Cabinet and threatened to quit the party.

It is said that Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana will be retained due to Lokesh's blessings despite the recent controversy surrounding him over leakage of a Class 10 question paper in one of the schools run by a corporate group owned by the minister.
