Lawmakers said on Monday that the White House would like to see a revised bill come up for a vote as early as week's end, before the House breaks for its spring recess, and that the new proposal's text could be ready some time on Tuesday. The trio was "discussing a variety of topics, including healthcare", said White House Deputy Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham. Trump tweeted: "Anybody (especially Fake News media) who thinks that Repeal & Replace of ObamaCare is dead does not know the love and strength in R Party!"

Rand Paul, R-Kty., one of the most vocal critics of the American Health Care Act, said after golf with the president Sunday he is optimistic Republicans will come to an agreement on how to repeal ObamaCare.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-North Carolina, the head of the Freedom Caucus, told The Times his members would be interested in a bill that includes two significant changes.

Even so, some members of the House Freedom Caucus, the hard-right group whose opposition helped sink the Republican bill last month, were showing signs of accepting less than many originally wanted.

Louis C.K. has absolutely torn Donald Trump's presidency apart
Louis didn't expect his words to become front page news, but he doesn't regret his fiery diatribe against the candidate. They lie a lot. "Look if you voted, that's the guy he lied to", he said.

In the immediate aftermath of the bill's collapse, Trump said he was moving on from health care until Obamacare "explodes". But, the House Freedom Caucus also continues to ask for a repeal of community rating provisions, rules that dictate insurers can not discriminate against consumers on the basis of gender or health status.

"We appreciated then coming to us with it", Collins said of the meeting.

Trump and aides had argued for a vote in the final hours of negotiations around the bill, but Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan ultimately agreed to pull it, rather than face a loss if it had been put to a vote. "But one way or the other, I promised the people great health care". Earlier in March, Paul and House Freedom Caucus founding member Jim Jordan of OH pushed legislation in both chambers that would mirror the repeal bill that Congress passed through the budget reconciliation process in 2015 but that President Barack Obama vetoed.

"Justin Amash is a good friend and one of the most principled members of Congress", said Jim Jordan of OH, on CNN's State of the Union. They said it didn't matter that Scavino tweeted from an account marked as "personal" and not from his official government Twitter account. Since the bill went down, Trump has repeatedly lashed out at members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus who contributed to the defeat.

The Sunday golf outing was not unusual for Trump, who has visited his golf courses in Virginia and Florida repeatedly since taking office.

The failure 12 days ago to dismantle Obamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act, was Trump's first major legislative setback. Justin Amash, R-Mich., for criticism and urging Trump supporters to defeat the congressman in next year's primary election.
