The 23-year-old was promoting his debut solo album, "Harry Styles", out today.
Meanwhile, the track Sweet Creature has been linked to his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson on some internet forums.
In a May 12, 2017 interview with BBC 1 Radio's The Breakfast Show with host Nick "Grimmie" Grimshaw, Styles was asked if the song was indeed about Swift, and Styles clearly wasn't prepared to answer. Styles' lyrics also say that he can't touch what he sees.
However, it's kind of the One Direction alum's fault as he clearly penned a track about his superstar ex for his new album. "Help me, Jeffrey!" he begged at one point. And it's causing a lot of questions about his ex-beau Taylor Swift.
Though Harry Styles is far from an experimental record, it sends a clear message that his days of rote pop music are in the past. Is there a song for the "You Belong With Me Singer?"
Despite that not making much sense, Grimshaw dismissed the comments and played the song after telling listeners: "So here you go, the one about Taylor Swift".
The same red lips allude to Taylor's famous red lip that she has worn on multiple occasions.
United States clothing retail sales slip in April
This story has been corrected to show that a category including department stores reported a 0.5 percent drop in sales. Electronics stores, for instance, enjoyed an increase in sales of 1.3 percent for April, and 0.7 percent for the year.
"I mean, I think it's pretty self-explanatory", Harry replied, attempting to end the conversation. His English charm does the job and would make anyone want to sit with him near a fire and listen to him evoking the tender moments of his short life.
"Taylor doesn't think about Harry, so when she saw lyrics aimed at her it really didn't even make a blip on her radar", the source continued.
Styles's new album has not been released yet, but fans are already convinced they have found the song that he wrote about Taylor Swift.
"Sign of the Times" was the debut single heard 'round the world is the song Styles says he's "most proud" of writing, and for good reason-its minor key balladry restated the Harry Styles brand on the radio.
He's sold out an intimate, theatre-venue-based world tour in minutes, gifted his fans with the release of another song, the jangling and sentimental "Sweet Creature", and soared through the skies in the rather freaky music video for "Sign of the Times".
