The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to select a guard with the No. 2 pick in the 2017 National Basketball Association draft, perhaps UCLA's Lonzo Ball, if the Boston Celtics pass on him with the No. 1 overall pick. According to the latest rumors, the team might not draft Lonzo Ball as expected, and Los Angeles could trade one of the point guards that are already on their roster. I think there are three or four players in this draft that I really like, personally.

The LaVar Ball mass-media aggregation tour continues on, but Silver is probably right. As reported by ESPN, Ball is set to meet with the franchise's coaching staff and front-office personnel. With elite guards like Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball as the first two projected picks, the Nets would have been extremely happy with either one. After the Lakers thing goes down and the ideal scenario is going to unfold, the new deal might be five years and $20 million, just by virtue of what happens on May 16, the night of the lottery...

LaVar raised eyebrows from critics, fans and colleagues alike by demanding $1 billion from sneaker giants to co-brand with his Big Baller Brand - an offer that Nike, Adidas and Under Armour all walked away from, as confirmed in April. "And I think that's why this story is something that people want to read".

He is likely to be received warily, but the White House says the president has made personal breakthroughs with his peers. Only five members, including the US , the United Kingdom, Greece, Poland and Estonia now meet the two-percent minimum.

The question remains - and won't be answered for years to come - whether it was a mistake for Lonzo Ball to pass up on the traditional shoe deal route to go independent. "But because he's a rookie, because he would be a No. 1 pick or No. 2 pick or No. 3 pick".

"As long as it doesn't bother [Lonzo], it's not going to bother the Laker organization, as long as Lonzo performs on the basketball court". Will his dad LaVar Ball cause problems in the franchise moving forward?
