The English Premier League's retained list will be released tomorrow.

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - APRIL 13: Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Manchester United looks dejected during the UEFA Europa League quarter final first leg match between RSC Anderlecht and Manchester United at Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on April 13, 2017 in Brussels, Belgium.

Manchester United are expected to confirm that talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not been offered a new contract when they publish their list of retained and released players on Friday morning.

If Ibrahimovic is indeed missing from United's squad list, it could leave the Swede contemplating the end of his top-level career following spells with Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Swedish global signed on a one-year deal last season with the option of a second, but it is being reported that he will need to find a new club or retire.

Despite undergoing successful surgery on his damaged cruciate ligament at the beginning of May, the Ibrahimovic is not expected to return to competitive action until well into 2018.

Reported target Romelu Lukaku appears close to leaving Everton for former club Chelsea, while Torino striker Andrea Belotti and Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata are other options.
