A knife-wielding man has killed one and injured several others after going on a stabbing rampage through a German supermarket this afternoon. "We can say that we have one dead person in the Edeka market and four further people are injured".
"He struck out at customers without warning", Heike Uhde, a police spokeswoman said. He was arrested by police shortly afterwards.
The attack took place in a supermarket in the Barmbek district earlier today. They are not ascribing a motive to the attack now, with German media suggesting terror and robbery as possibilities.
