Dilip Kumar in ICU, condition no better since admission: Hospital

Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu revealed that he was doing good yesterday.

"There are kidney problems and doctors are treating it", Udaya Tara Nayar, compiler of Dilip Kumar's autobiography, told IANS.

Dilip Kumar was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital here August 2 evening after he suffered dehydration and a urinary tract infection. Dilip Kumar has been ill and he has been admitted in hospital.

Dr Jalil Parkar, who is treating Dilip Kumar, told DNA, "His kidney functions have not improved".

The 94-year-old acting legend is now in the ICU at Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra. In April previous year, he was hospitalised with fever and nausea. Besides Devdas (1955), he is known for his iconic roles in movies like Naya Daur (1957), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ganga Jamuna (1961), Kranti (1981) and Karma (1986). He was last seen in the film Qila in the year 1998. The actor was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
