Firmware leak points to LTE connectivity in the next Apple Watch

We've already detailed some of the possible new emoji goodies, Apple Watch updates, and iPhone naming updates, but there's also a few other features revealed in the iOS 11 firmware leak.

All three new phones will run Apple's newest mobile operating system, iOS 11.

Well, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the mysteriously-titled iPhone X.

It's also expected that Apple will unveil a third iteration of the Apple Watch with cellular connectivity built in.

The screen is expected to measure 5.8-inches, corner-to-corner with rounded corners. For these two smartphones, it is being claimed that the company will launch them with the similar design as that of the iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 7 and will comprise LCD screens in them. Nevertheless, the patent was just filed in Q2 of this year, which could mean that Apple is now working on putting it to use. Though construction on the site isn't expected to wrap up until later this year, Apple will host Tuesday's event at its Steve Jobs Theater, a 1,000-seat circular auditorium perched on a hill above the main campus.

Aside from the colour variants, Kuo has also noted that the Face ID sensor of iPhone X will depend on four modules at the top part of the display. This feature appears to be an enhancement on the iPhone's Portrait mode effect for creating dSLR-like shots using depth by simulating different lighting effects.
